Rules of thumb
- Paste rates from your seller account when you can; defaults are demos.
- Shipping charged to the buyer often sits in the fee base — your real ship cost is separate.

They are common illustrations only. Always edit to match your current Etsy fee schedule and region.
Does this include sales tax or VAT?
No. Tax collection is separate. Pair with other tools if you need tax lines.
How does reverse pricing work?
It solves item price so net after percentage fees, fixed fees, COGS, and your ship cost meets your target (shipping charged held fixed).

Do Etsy fees include offsite ads?

Can I set a price that still nets X after fees?

Do listing fees matter if I sell low volume?
Yes on a per-item basis. Auto-renew listing fees add up when inventory turns slowly. Include them when pricing slow movers.
How do I protect margin when Etsy runs ads on my listing?
Offsite ads take an extra percent when they apply. Price with that percent in mind or use the ads tab to see the net hit before you boost volume.
Should free shipping come out of my margin?
If you offer free shipping, bake the label cost into COGS or fees so net is honest. Free shipping is not free to you.
How do sales and coupons change Etsy fee math?
Discounts lower the sale price many fees are based on, but percent fees still apply to the discounted amount. Re-run net on the promo price before a big sale.
